This morning, we’ll head to Gongju to explore Gongsanseong Fortress. During the Baekje period, Geumseo-ro’s fortress walls, where the kings lived, are more beautiful than any other fortress walls in Korea. Walking along the fortress, you can see the entire downtown of Gongju at a glance. Recognizing its value, Gongsanseong Fortress was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015.

In the morning, we’ll start our day with a visit to The United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Busan, the only UN cemetery in the world dedicated to honoring UN Command casualties from the Korean War. Jagalchi Market
After lunch, we’ll visit Jagalchi Market, Korea’s largest seafood market, famous for its fresh and dried fish. Next, we’ll head to Gukje Market, an iconic local market known for its diverse selection of unique items. We will head to Daegu to immerse ourselves in Korean traditional culture. Under the guidance of a renowned expert in regional cuisine and a certified master of traditional recipes, we’ll learn how to make traditional teatime snacks. After the class, we’ll have a brief tasting session to enjoy the treats we’ve made.

Andong Hahoe Village
Next on our itinerary is a visit to Andong Hahoe Village, one of the most famous folk villages in Korea. Surrounded by the Nakdonggang River, the village is home to descendatns of the Ryu clan of Pugsan, who still make up 70 percent of the residents. Hahoe village is also renowned for preserving the Hahoe Mask Dance Drama (Talchum), a traditional folk art performance depicting shamanistic rituals and village spirits.
